This article covers how to use Excel for importing one or more assets to Dalux Handover.
From Excel, assets can be created or updated. The following data can be imported:
- Name of the asset in Dalux
- Status of the asset in Dalux
- Template used in Dalux
- Product from Dalux
- Warranty Information (years, start date, installation date)
- Asset description in Dalux

Importing Assets to Dalux Handover can only be done by a Handover administrator.
Importing assets from Excel
Start by going to Handover
Assets
All Assets.
To get an Excel sheet template, at least one existing asset will need to be exported.
If there are no Assets in the project, a new one can be created by clicking on Add.
Fill out the name, select a work package, and then select a template. Then click 'Create'.

Export to Excel by going to More
Export
'Table (Excel)'
'Export'.
An email will be sent to your Dalux user email containing the Excel sheet.

When opening the sheet in Excel, the exported data can be seen. Only the fields with the blue heading can be imported to Dalux.

When done, save your work in Excel.
To import to Dalux, go to Handover

In the pop-up window, click From Excel.

When a file is selected and uploaded, a new window will appear. The same data as creating new assets is required to be filled out (name, work package, template).
Select which assets to import and fill in the required information.
Multiple assets can be edited at the same time, by using the green drag-and-drop selector.

The imported assets will now appear in Dalux Handover.
