In this article, we will show you how to manage your e-mail settings to organize the amount and type of mail notifications you receive when changes in the platform occur. Changes can be newly uploaded files, new design comments, assigned Field tasks, or received bids to tenders.

How to set email notifications
Email notifications can be set to get a summary of changes in the project as well as for getting explicit notifications for certain features. You can set these notifications for your different projects individually.

Note
Individual users are responsible for setting their own notification preferences and project administrators cannot set up notifications for others.
How to set up summaries
When you set the notification interval, you can toggle between no notifications or a 'Daily summary' option.
Off: You will continue to receive push notifications on your mobile device if your phone settings are configured to do so. You will also receive email notifications when someone contacts you directly in the project. However, you will no longer receive general email summaries about the project.
Daily summary: You will receive a summary of selected changes in the project daily with a detailed overview and links that lead you directly to Dalux.

If you only want the summary to contain information about certain Box folders or Tenders, you can add this rule to the summary here:
Subscribe to folders: You can specify if the email summary should only contain changes in selected folders in Dalux Box. This function is set to all folders as default. This option includes all new and updated files in the selected folders for all file areas.
Subscribe to tenders: You can specify if you only want to get notified about changes in selected tenders. This function is set to all existing and new tenders as default. You will be notified of any changes to the selected tender(s).
User rights
Tenders can only be accessed by tender-related roles. Project administrators do not have access to tenders. For more details, you can read more here: User groups
You will not receive an email if there have been no changes since the last summary.
How to set up an immediate notification
You can specify what changes in the project you'd like to be immediately notified about. These options don't affect your daily summary.
Tasks: If activated you will get notified immediately if you are set as responsible for an active task or if a task you assigned to someone else is answered.
Comments: If activated you will get notified immediately if you are set as responsible for an active comment or added to the Notify section of a comment.
File approvals: If activated you will get notified immediately if a file approval is assigned to you or if a file is approved/declined when you have triggered the file flow or have been set as responsible for rejected files.

As a project administrator, you also have the option to be notified when users leave the project. You won't be notified when other administrators remove a participant from the project, only when users leave the project themselves.
How to subscribe to newsletters
The last section allows you to subscribe/unsubscribe to Dalux newsletters. Dalux newsletters specifically inform you about new features, local events for industry professionals, and upcoming sneak peek webinars for future features.
Dalux is careful to focus only on information relevant to you, so you will not receive any unwanted advertising.
You can unsubscribe at any time in your preferences or by clicking the unsubscribe button at the bottom of any newsletter.
