Creating new checklists on mobile and desktop
You can create checklists using the Field module or Locations. Creating a checklist from Locations is easier because it automatically saves the checklist's placement.
Creating a new checklist
To create a new checklist directly on a location, go to Locations.
You can navigate to your locations by changing buildings, floors, and drawings. You can also use the 3D view. If you need to learn how to navigate drawings and models you can read this article: Navigate drawings and models on mobile.
Please, note that the method is slightly different if a checklist has been linked to zones or rooms. This is explained below.
Go to Locations
Find your location and press on the drawing
New registration
Checklists
Press on the checklist you want to create.
The checklist opens and you can start filling out the information.

You can also create a checklist from the Home screen, by pressing the
-icon in the upper right corner of the app. Next, locate and select the desired checklist under the Checklist section.
If a checklist has been linked to either zones or room, you must first select the checklist as a filter, before you can create a new checklist of that type.
To create a filter, go to Locations

Checklists
Select the checklist you are looking for.
You can then press on a room or zone and create a new checklist.

Zones or rooms will be designated with either:
- Grey - no checklist has been created in the zone or room.
- Orange - an open checklist has been created in the zone or room.
- Green - a closed checklist in the zone or room.
- Red - two or more checklists with the same template have been created in the zone or room.

Filling out a checklist
When a checklist has been selected in one of the methods above, the checklist will open and can be filled out. Depending on how the checklist is set up, it might appear slightly different. Generally, points in the checklist are filled out by pressing on them.

You can take pictures with or attach files from your device with
. A comment can also be added.
When a point of the checklist is open you can navigate back to the checklist with the -icon. You can also move to the next or previous point of the checklist with the
/
-icons. This makes it quicker to go through the checklist.
Depending on the project, you might be able to use Add task to raise a task that will be connected to the checklist.

You can save a checklist without completing it by pressing 'Save' in the top right of the checklist. If you are also done filling out the checklist, make sure to click 'Complete' at the bottom of the checklist.

Creating a new checklist
Creating a new checklist on Dalux Desktop from locations is done in a similar way as on Dalux Mobile.
To do so, go to
Locations
Navigate to the building and floor
Click on the position on the drawing
New
Checklist
Select the checklist you want to create.

You can also create a checklist from Field. This is done by:

If a checklist has been linked to either zones or room, you should first select the checklist as a filter, before creating a new checklist of that type. To create a filter, go to

Select a floor plan
Select
Checklists in the filter window
Use Type to select the specific checklist.
You can select a room and then click either the checklist name or click New.

Zones or rooms will be designated with either:
- Grey - no checklist has been created in the zone or room.
- Orange - an open checklist has been created in the zone or room.
- Green - a checklist has been closed in the zone or room.
- Red - two or more checklists with the same template have been created in the zone or room.
Filling out a checklist
When a checklist has been selected in one of the methods above, the checklist will open and can be filled out.
The appearance of the checklist may vary depending on its setup. Generally, points in the checklist are filled out by clicking the drop-down menus and selecting an option.

When you hover your mouse over a point you can:

Add a comment to the checklist point.

Link a task to the checklist point.

Attach files from your computer, from Box, and your clipboard. You can also annotate a drawing.

If you are using photo albums, you can also attach images from them.
To save a checklist without completing it, click on 'Save'. If you are also done filling out the checklist, make sure to check 'Completed' at the bottom of the checklist.
View, edit, and print checklists
You can see all your checklists in
Field
Checklists
Select the appropriate work package
Select a checklist.
You then have several options:

View - Open and view the checklist (This can also be done by double-clicking on a checklist)

Edit - Edit and make changes to the checklist. Completed checklists have to be reopened before they can be edited.

Print - Print a PDF version of the checklist. Different print options are available.

Send - This creates tasks that can be sent to other project participants - such as sending a filled-out checklist for approval or asking someone to fill out the type of checklist.
In the More menu, you can

Show on drawing - Opens the drawing that contains the checklist position.

Delete - A checklist can only be deleted by project administrators.

Notify - Send a notification to another project participant about the status of the checklist.

Change association - This can only be used if the same checklist is associated with multiple work packages/workflows.

Export - This allows you to export checklist data. Several export options are available.
