FM Release Notes 2024.2

Learn about new features and enhancements in the June 2024 release of Dalux FM (version 2024.2). The full changelog is found below.

New menu for work orders, recurring work orders and tickets Create buildings and lots from GIS (Pro Only) Supplier Portal: Define asset permissions

Recurring work orders, work orders, and tickets have received an overhaul to the UI while also getting improvements to its usability. The floating green + button has been changed into the More menu and moved to the top header of the work order along with the status-changing buttons, congregating them in one place. If you want to learn more about the new work orders, read more here.

The "Create assets" button has been turned into DaluxIcon_asset.pngCreate from GIS and now allows you to create both multiple assets, buildings, and lots from GIS data from one menu (only from polygons). This makes it easy and efficient to create a large number of lots and buildings if you already have the GIS data.

With this change, you will have more granular control over the asset rights for suppliers as you can set the edit/see rights for them with all, nothing, or custom settings. If you set a supplier to be able to edit all, they will also be able to see all. If you put nothing in both see and edit, the supplier won't have access to the Asset module.

The company settings UI will now only display certain sections depending on the company type that is chosen. This change makes it easier and quicker to navigate and set up companies, as settings that are irrelevant for the given type of company are removed when that type is selected:

    • Only shows main data, discipline, contact info and image. Is not visible for work orders or products

  • Producer

    • Only shows main data, discipline, contact info and image. Is not visible for work orders, only on products

  • Supplier

    • Shows full page. Is not visible for products, only on work orders and HelpDesk topics

Companies need to set as supplier, in order to use the supplier portal.
