How to navigate in FM on desktop

Dashboard

When opening Dalux FM, the Dashboard screen displays an overview of content and tasks.

The platform is organized into several areas:

1. Side menu: You can switch between modules by using the side menu.
2. Folders: This area displays information in folders and allows you to organize your saved filters.
3. Instance name: The instance name displays the current instance. You can change the instance by clicking on its name.
4. Notifications: Clicking the -icon to show all the notifications you have received.
5. User profile: You can access your user profile by clicking on your name. Here you can download the desktop app, view keyboard shortcuts, and log out.

Change instance or project

Click on the instance name to choose a different Dalux instance or project. If you have a lot of instances or projects to choose from, you can use the search function to find the instance or project you need quickly.

You can mark your favorite projects or instances with a yellow star to pin them to the top of the list.

Side menu and folders

You can navigate through the platform's modules using the sidebar. The selected module and folder are highlighted.

List view

The content in Dalux FM is displayed in a list view with horizontal rows and vertical columns

Column header

You can change the order of columns by dragging and dropping the column headers to a new position.

Add column

You can add new columns by clicking on the -icon to the right and selecting one or more values. The newly added columns will be placed on the right side of the currently visible columns. Uncheck the box again to hide the column.

Grouping

You can group the lists by their data by clicking on the column header and selecting 'Grouping'.

Filter

To filter content, click on the column header, type a keyword in the search bar, and select the results from the list. Alternatively, click on Add filter in the search and filter bar and select the attributes there.

Filter selections are displayed in the search and filter menu and can be edited or removed.

Save the view

If you want to save a filtered or grouped view, click on

SaveGive it a name'Save'.

Under 'View type' you can also decide if you want to save the view for yourself or if you want to share it with other team members.

Delete saved view

You can delete a saved view by selecting it and clicking Delete. This action cannot be undone.

Notifications

Each email notification from Dalux FM is accessible in the notifications section for easy management and direct access to relevant data.

User profile

Under your profile name, there are several useful features.

• My profile: Edit your personal information, change the platform language, or change your password.
• Download: Download the Desktop app or the Revit plugin.
• Keyboard shortcuts: View keyboard shortcuts for navigating the Locations.
• Log out
