This article covers how to navigate and measure drawings and models on Dalux Mobile.
With Dalux Mobile, you can quickly access the drawings and models on the project to get the information you require. Every user on the project has access to the Locations module and the measurement tools in it.

How to access and navigate drawings in Locations
To access Locations, press the -icon in the bottom bar. You can change between a map view (
) and a drawing view (
). This article only covers the drawings' view.

When viewing drawings in Locations you can:
- Use two fingers to pinch to zoom in and out
- Drag the view around by holding a finger on the screen and moving it around
At the bottom of the view, you can change which drawing is shown, by pressing on the button displaying the level name. At the top of the screen, the building can be changed.
Levels and discipline folders can be seen in the view, and drawings can be opened by pressing on them.
You can also search for a drawing name.
Pressing 'Show' will jump to the default drawing for the level.

How to show different registration types on drawings
When viewing a drawing, at the top of the view, you can see which registration filter is currently active.
Press this button to customize your filter or change to a different registration type.

It will depend on your permissions and roles in the project which types are available. You can quickly create specific filters, so you can find what you are looking for. After selecting the parameters for your filter press 'OK' to return to the drawing.

How to measure in 2D
When viewing a drawing, you can enter the measurement mode by pressing the -icon.
This will show a blue measurement tool. You can drag this around with your finger. When you release your finger from the screen a measurement point will be placed.
You can then move the measurement tool to a different location to get a length measurement. When doing more than two points, an area measurement will be shown in the center of the measured shape.

To exit the measurement mode, press the -icon again.
How to access and navigate in 3D
When viewing a drawing that is mapped to a BIM model, a 3D button will be visible in the drawing view. You can press this button to change to the Dalux BIM Viewer.

The default 3D mode is the split view. This allows you to jump to a location, by pressing on a point on the drawing. The 3D view is shown at the bottom. The split view locks the elevation to the selected level, meaning you cannot move vertically in the model.
In the 3D view, you can:
- Look around by holding your finger on the screen and moving it around
- Move back and forward in the model by pinching in and out with two fingers
- When in full screen, vertically by dragging two fingers up or down on the screen

If you want a full-screen view of 3D, you can press the -icon in the middle of the screen.
How to see BIM properties and use Filters in 3D
In the 3D view you can press on 3D objects to see the object name and access more properties, by pressing the -icon.
You can also hide the object, create measurements, or create a cut. Please see the video at the top for more information on this.

When viewing the properties of the BIM object, you can quickly apply filters for the different properties, by pressing the -icons. Press outside the properties window to close it and apply the filters.
