Version sets are used for making a still image of the status of your files at a given time. The file version that you have added will remain the same in your version set, even when the versions are changed in their original folder.
Version sets allow you to look back on your progress with folders containing a snapshot of your files at a given time in the project's lifetime.

How to set up version sets
Start by activating version sets from Settings

To create new version sets, go to Box

Add. Give the version set a name and click 'OK'.

A new window will pop up where the properties of the version set can be set.
- Status can be set as unlocked or locked. Files cannot be added to locked version sets. User groups can be added to both locked and unlocked version sets.
- A description can be added if needed.
- File area can be chosen, depending on which file area the files in the version set are in. You can only select one file area per version set (files, shared files, published files)
When done, click 'Save' and close the window by clicking the in the corner, or anywhere outside the pop-up window.

Files or user groups can be added in whichever order is preferred. In this case, files are added first.
Adding files to a version set can be done in the version set with Add files in the top menu.
With the wanted version set selected, click Add files. A pop-up window will appear. From here the files can be selected and added to the version set.
Multiple files can be selected by holding 'Ctrl' or 'Shift' while clicking.
When the files have been selected, click 'Choose' 'Add' to add the files to the version set.

Alternatively, files can also be selected from the list view in Box.

Note that you can only select the version set if it is unlocked and within the corresponding file area.
Click 'Next' and then 'Add' in the following window.

Note
If a file has multiple version, you can select which version to add to the version set.
When the desired files have been added to the version set, it can be locked by

Status. Then select 'Locked' and click 'Save'.
When the version set is locked, no more files can be added to or removed from the version set, until the version set is unlocked again.

For users to have access to the version set, permissions have to be set in: Settings

Select the desired user group.

A new window will appear, where either read and/or link files access can be given to one or more version sets. You can see more information about the permissions by clicking the -icon.

The user group now has access to the version set on both Dalux Desktop and Mobile.
