This article explains how to create 2D and 3D objects from drawings or models in Dalux.

How to create a 2D object group
Go to Settings
Locations
'2D object groups'
Select a building.
You can create a new 2D object group by clicking Add. Give the 2d object group a name and click 'Save'.
Select a building and a drawing, you want to add 2D objects to.
Click on the drawing to place a 2D object from the group. Then clickAdd. The process can then be repeated, to add more 2D objects.
Tips and tricks
If you want to use 2D object groups for inspection plans and test plans, then you will also need to set up zones. If you need help with zones, you can read this article: Zones and zone layers.
How to create a 3D object group
Go to Settings
Locations
'3D object groups'
Add.
Write the name of the 3D object group and select a building.
Use the filters to set up which elements from the models you want in the group. You can set up criteria in the menu on the left. You can also filter on values from model properties.

Click 'Save' to add the objects to the 3D group.
When a filter is selected, you can see the number of occurrences and the elements in the 3D view. Your filter will apply across all your buildings. The total occurrences and how many occurrences per building will be shown.
