In this article, we will show the process of activating Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) in your project.
Multi-factor authentication provides additional security for your project by requiring project participants to write a temporary 6-digit code sent by email when they log in.

How to set up multi-factor authentication
User rights
You need to be a project administrator to activate the feature for all participants of the project.
To activate the feature in your project, go to
Settings
Project Setup
Security: 'Security Settings'.
In the dialogue that appears, there is an input field with XX – in front of it. Click on 'Send code' which will change the 'xx' to 2 recognition numbers and send an email with the 6-digit verification code:
Copy the code from your email, put it into the field, and click 'Verify'. Click 'Enable' in the new window:
How to use multi-factor authentication
With multi-factor authentication enabled, you will automatically be required to use a verification code, when you log in to the project. This only needs to be done ONCE per login session.
This section will show you how to log in with multi-factor authentication on both Dalux Desktop and Mobile:
Project without MFA
If you were last logged into a project without MFA, you will be logged in as usual. Log in like normal by entering your account email and password.
If you were last logged into a project that now has MFA enabled, you will be asked to verify your identity (This is also true when you change from a project without to a project with MFA).
You will be sent an email with a 2-digit recognition number and a 6-digit verification code. Copy the 6-digit part into the request field and make sure that the recognition number matches:
Now click 'Verify' or hit the Enter key.
Tips and tricks
Optionally, click 'Skip' at the bottom left to go directly to another project without MFA.
First, enter your account mail and password:
Select the project you want to enter. If MFA is activated on the project, you will be sent a 6-digit verification code in your email inbox.
Make sure that the 2-digit recognition number in your email matches the one on the login screen. Enter the 6-digit verification code after the 2-digit recognition number and click Verify:
