FM Release Notes 2023.2

This release of Dalux FM will introduce new features to the mobile Dalux FM app, as well as several features on the web platform.

Dalux FM app

Improved asset QR scan workflow

Many of you are connecting Dalux QR-codes to your rooms and assets for helpdesk and operations and maintenance purposes – great!

We have improved speed on rounds, service checks or e.g., fire inspections if you are using QR-codes on assets by quickly letting you get access to the checklist or work order with just one click after a QR-scan:

It is now possible to choose time span on a work order

Before this release it was only possible to set a deadline date on a work order – now it is also possible to set a time span:

It now possible to see service contracts for buildings

Service contracts are now visible on the building dashboard page organized in disciplines:

Location

New toolbar style

The toolbar on the map, drawings and 3D got a new and more compact design to yield more space to content.

New filter

The filter is moved from the top left corner to allow more space for the drawing or model to the toolbar in the bottom. 

Features added:

  • Thumbnails of filters
  • More intuitive way of saving a filter
  • Easier access to advanced mode

Color by property (BIM)

It is now possible to color the BIM model(s) by BIM property. This is very useful to color by type, product, category or in the case below: ‘system name’:

Service contracts on buildings

It is now possible to see service contracts related to the building when opening a building in location:

HelpDesk

New and improved list view of tickets

We have introduced a new and improved list view of tickets – you can’t see all columns, but you will have:

Thumbnails of images, with one click to open images on a ticket

Change status of tickets directly from the list

Fast display of location when hovering the mouse over the location column:

And last but not least: see the latest message, user, and timestamp for a message to or from the helpdesk reporter:

HelpDesk portal: closed tickets no longer displayed on “my tickets” page

Closed tickets are now accessed from a new button that will open a dialog instead of always being displayed along open tickets. You can also now create ticket directly from the list.

User defined fields in supplier mail templates

It is now possible to include user defined fields on work orders in the email template to suppliers.

 

It is now possible to quickly create a recurring work order for many assets

If you multi-select assets, you can now quickly create a recurring work order for all assets from the “more” menu:

BIM and Documentation

Go to linked objects directly from a file / drawing

‘Linked to’ for all files are now clickable to open buildings, assets, products and much more directly from the file in Documentation:

General

User is highlighted in O&M teams

The current user is now highlighted in the setup of O&M teams – this will make is much easier to see which teams you are participating in:

Better change report when updating BIM models

The affected changes in the change report, when you are importing a BIM model, are improved so it only shows the actual changes to give a better overview:

Activate / deactivate economy and time registrations

You can now activate / deactivate economy and time registrations globally in your Dalux installation depending on your implementation process and what you would like the users to do.

If Economy registrations are deactivated then:

  • Expected cost card is hidden on work orders (number or using items)
  • Invoices – actual cost (no list view for invoices and users can’t create invoices)
  • Budget module is hidden (O&M pro customers)
  • Columns related to economy for work orders are hidden

If Time registrations are deactivated then:

  • Time registration is hidden for work orders
  • No menu items for time registrations
  • Columns related to time registrations are hidden

Important: No data is deleted if you deactivate features!

 

Work order template: customize content of a work order

It is now possible to show/hide economy and/or time registration per work order template:

That means you can now customize how much information you want the user to register on a work order:

  • User defined fields
  • Time registrations
  • Economy (expected and actual costs if used)

For a simple work order everything can be turned off, for a more complicated work order that involves cost estimation everything can be turned on by work order template.

It will make Dalux easier to use in the simpler cases.

 

It is now possible to define min and max characters for text fields

This way you ensure a certain min/max number of characters for a user defined field:
