Capture in Dalux is used for various forms of location-based photo documentation. Capture can be used for Photo albums, 360 photos, and the SiteWalk feature. This article covers 360 photos.
With Capture: 360 photos, it is possible to compare 360 photos taken on different dates in the same location and to compare 360 photos with the 3D model.

User rights
Users with 'View and upload' permissions can edit the name and location data.
Only project/Field administrators can delete individual 360 photos.
Dalux Mobile currently supports the following cameras for taking 360 photos directly in the app:
- Insta360 X4 (Also works with SiteWalk, requires an SD card, e.g. a MicroSD V30)
- Ricoh Theta X (Also works with SiteWalk)
- Ricoh Theta Z1 (Also works with SiteWalk)
- Ricoh Theta V
- Ricoh Theta SC2
- Ricoh Theta SC
- Ricoh Theta S
360 photos from other cameras can still be uploaded and used within Dalux.
Tips and tricks
360 photos need to have a location set before they can be saved.
By default, a new 360 photo is named after the location name, or room property if available.
Using Dalux Desktop, two 360 photos can be compared side-by-side - or a single 360 photo can be compared to the 3D model.
How to use Capture for 360 photos
Create and view 360 photos on Dalux Mobile
360 photos in Dalux can be created and viewed on the Mobile app. Press the -icon on the
Home tab,
'Photos'
New 360 photo.
We recommend creating new 360 photos through Locations, as setting a location is required.
Press anywhere on a drawing

If a supported camera is connected, 360 photos can be taken directly in Dalux Mobile. Panoramic 360 photos on the device can also be added.

Multiple 360 photos can be added to the same registration. This is useful for taking photos in the same location throughout the construction project, to track the progress.
To do so, find a registration and re-open it. Then press the icon in the upper right. Then take a new photo or add one from the device library.

With multiple 360 photos in the same registration, it is possible to change between them in Dalux Mobile. At the bottom of the view, the time and date of the 360 photos are shown, along with the number of photos in the current registration. Switching between the 360 photos is done with the arrows /
.

Create and view 360 photos on Dalux Desktop
360 photos can be accessed through Field or
Locations.
In Locations you can filter for 360 photos.

You can also see your 360 photos in an image grid in Field by going to:

From this view, the 360 photo can be navigated using the mouse (drag to look around) and mouse wheel (zoom in and out).
More photos can be added. The registration can be renamed, and the location can be changed.
Add more photos from different dates, to compare them side-by-side (see how in the next section).

A Blur effect can be added to blur out sensitive information or people's faces.
Hold the Shift key and draw a blurring effect by pressing the left mouse button. The longer you hold the buttons in the same place, the stronger the blurring effect will become. Remember to click 'Save' when done.

Compare multiple 360 photos on Dalux Desktop
On Dalux Desktop, 360 photos can be compared side-by-side or to the 3D model. To compare two 360 photos side-by-side, click Compare.
The view can be aligned and locked, causing both 360 images to move together.

It is also possible to compare 360 photos to the 3D model. Do so by selecting 3D in the right view when comparing. For the best result, the location of the 360 photo should match the Location in Dalux as closely as possible.
